Tennessee Titans at Seattle Seahawks Betting Preview

Tennessee Titans at Seattle Seahawks Betting Preview

Titans fans and the players alike want to forget about week 1, a blowout loss to Arizona. But now they have to face Seattle on the road, and 0-2 is very much a possibility. They had nothing going for them against the Cardinals and got beat in pretty much every area. It didn’t look good for them at any point in the contest.

And Derrick Henry had 17 rushes for 59 yards, a relatively invisible night. If he is putting up lines like that, they might even lose to high school teams. This is a guy who is an absolute monster, and nobody could slow a season ago. Watching Henry run is as exciting as watching any QB sling the ball, and he put up a complete dud to open 2021.

On the other side, Russ was slinging it all day against Indy last week. He finished with four touchdowns and no interceptions, getting it to the right guys every time. He looked perfect and like nothing had changed from last year. He continues to prove himself as one of the best in the NFL week in and week out. The Seahawks always win in the regular season and then quickly fall apart in the playoffs.

They need to play the long game.

Betting Odds & Lines

The spread for Sunday is set at SEA -6.5. The over/under is 54 points. The TEN moneyline is +227, and the SEA moneyline is -276.

Titans Seek to Break Even

Playing in Seattle is never easy, and that will be extremely true this year. Now that the fans are back, it is going to be raucous in there, and perhaps not even the Seahawks will be able to hear themselves over all the roaring. But this is the NFL, and nobody has time to feel sorry for a struggling squad.

The Titans have to forget that last week ever happened. They have to have the next-week mentality and take it all from scratch. The offensive line has to be better and not allow a guy like Chandler Jones to have five sacks. It’s time to put up or shut up for Taylor Lewan.

Look for Henry to have a 125+ yard night.

Seattle Seeking 2-0 Beginning

The Seahawks won their opener 28-16 and are now thinking about 2-0. It’s realistic for them, and it’s also good to see Chris Carson healthy. He was in and out of the lineup a season ago. And after going 12-4 in 2020, a win to open the year is just what Seattle needed to stay on track.

The NFC West is loaded this year, with no clear weak link. So, the more they win, the less they have to worry about how bunched up it could be. There are no early flaws on display with the Seahawks, who have a tremendous offense and good enough D.

Underdogs Prevail

The game will be tight, but the Titans will find a way to claim a win. Quite the upset in week 2.
