Tampa Bay Rays vs. Los Angeles Dodgers Game 6 Betting Preview

The sixth installment of the 2020 World Series is set to be played at Globe Life Park on Tuesday night. And the Dodgers are finally closing in on the title that has somehow eluded them for three years in a row, plus the previous 29. A 3-2 series lead in their favor, and one more win will do it.

They have had some unbelievable moments this postseason, from all of the home runs, to scoring nearly 60 runs with two outs, to watching their new acquisition Mookie Betts set hitting records left and right. The fact that they have the luxury of batting Cody Bellinger sixth just tells you on its own that it is a game of riches.

Tampa Bay will need to rally and win the next two games to bring the franchise’s first World Series title into existence. The Tampa Bay Lightning won the NHL bubble, and the Rays still have hope to win the MLB Playoff pod.

The Rays will send Blake Snell to the bump to face off with Tony Gonsolin of the Dodgers. Win or go home.

ODDS:

The moneyline for Tampa Bay is set at +123, while it’s -143 for Los Angeles. The over/under is eight runs.

Rays Looking to Survive

It’s been incredible to follow the Rays on their journey to the World Series. They knocked off the Yankees in five to rallying and won Game 7 after almost blowing a 3-0 lead to Houston. Plus, they won Game 4 of the World Series in incredible fashion. Now, they need two more wins.

The offense relies heavily on the home run ball, so when that isn’t there for them, it’s not easy. They failed to hit any dingers in the last game, and it cost them a loss. Kevin Cash has been creative with lineup moves and substitutions, though they may have backfired last game.

Snell is set to make his second start of this World Series. He struck out nine batters in four and two-thirds innings in Game 2 but allowed four batters in a row to reach late in the fifth and got pulled.

Dodgers Trying to Become Champs

The 1988 Dodgers players will be eating their popcorn quickly and often from their couches during this one. And by the time the ninth inning rolls around, they’ll be yelling at the television. The 2020 Dodgers are one win from a championship, which would mark their first since 1988.

They’ve won the division eight years in a row and now been in three World Series in that span. Don Mattingly couldn’t get them over the hump. And Dave Roberts still hasn’t yet. There’s a lot of pressure on everybody to finally win one.

They’ll trot out Gonsolin for Game 6. In his three appearances (two starts) this postseason, Gonsolin has allowed eight runs in just seven and two-thirds innings. He has his work cut out for him.

Dodgers Bullpen Finishes the Job

A win for the Dodgers is on the way. After Gonsolin struggles again, the bullpen will get in and close Tampa Bay out for the final several innings. World Series champs!
