San Antonio Spurs vs. Utah Jazz Betting Preview

The season is on the line for the Spurs, as they face the Utah Jazz in Orlando tonight, in a game televised on national TV.

This Spurs team has proven to be well-balanced, with a lot of young talent. They have some good veterans taking minutes, mixing all together. This is a team that has defied expectations and played well during the NBA restart.

DeMar DeRozan and Derrick White have played at a high level, leading them to a 5-2 mark so far. If Shake Milton had not sunk that three against them, it would be a simple win-and-in scenario.

Utah has been up and down and will now hope to play spoiler before the start of the playoffs. San Antonio might already know their fate before this game happens, and could already be out. They play hard, though, so it will be a game no matter what.

Donovan Mitchell has had some strong performances, and Jordan Clarkson has given the bench a good lift. Let’s see what they can do in their final playoff tune-up.

ODDS:

The Spurs are set as 7.5-point favorites tonight.

Spurs Looking to Continue Their Winning Ways

This is a talented team that has overachieved while they have been in Orlando. Lonnie Walker IV has been playing well as a first-time starter and now with short hair. He has proven effective at getting to the rim and also looking good on the defensive end.

Dejounte Murray is playing fantastic basketball too, as his comeback season has gone on. DeMar is scoring from every inch inside the arc, and they are getting surprisingly great minutes at the center position. And Rudy Gay is scoring the ball at a rate we have not seen in numerous years.

They match up well with any team in a one-game situation, and so they will continue their surprising push for the play-in tournament. They have the talent and coaching. So, can they get it done one more time on national TV?

Utah Looking to End on a Good Note

Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert seem to get along well, which will bode well for Jazz’s future. Mike Conley has been playing much better basketball, and they have been able to overcome the loss of Bojan Bogdanovic. This is a great team that is locked into a playoff matchup with the Denver Nuggets as it is now.

They are bristling with potential, but a run to the title is unlikely. They have good defensive wing players and a reliable backup big in Tony Bradley, who can deliver some solid minutes when Rudy Gobert isn’t in.

Clarkson and Mitchell will be looking to help Utah end any dream the Spurs might have. DeRozan and White will try to slow them down.

Spurs Pick Up Another Win, Improve to 6-2

San Antonio can’t be stopped, and they won’t. 6-2 record for them now, and they’ll hope the ball falls their way.
