The NFL sports betting public had been losers as a whole this NFL season. The tides completely changed this weekend as all of the wagers most backed by the public won. According to Pregame.com’s Sportsbook Spy, there were 11 Sunday NFL games where more than 70% of the tickets were written on one side. The tickets with the highest percentage of wagers were:
- Green Bay money line (88%)
- San Francisco money line (87%)
- Dallas/Detroit over (83%)
- Kansas City money line (83%)
- New England money line (82%)
- New Orleans money line (80%)
- San Francisco/Jacksonville over (78%)
- New Orleans -12 (78%)
- New England -7 (76%)
- San Francisco -15 (76%)
- Washington/Denver over (72%)
All 11 of these wagers were winners. The success was not limited to the just the NFL on Sunday. The Red Sox were on 72% of the tickets written for the World Series.
The public won the Thursday Night Football game this week as well. The Carolina Panthers -6 saw 70% of the action, the Panthers money line saw 84% of the action, while 72% of the tickets were on the over. All three of these tickets were winners.
The lopsided action continues tonight. The Seattle Seahawks travel to St. Louis to play the Rams on Monday Night Football. The Rams are hurting after losing Sam Bradford for the season in Week 7 at Carolina. The Seahawks are laying 14 points on the road, according to the latest odds at Bovada. The line opened at 10.5. Money has poured onto Seattle, which has pushed the line 3.5 points. Sportsbook Spy is reporting that 80% of the point spread and 90% of the money line tickets are on the Seahawks.
