New York Knicks at Golden State Warriors Betting Preview

The Knicks and Warriors will meet in San Francisco on Thursday night, in a game worth staying up for on the east coast. New York has won consecutive games after dropping five in a row, while Golden State has been on a bit of a hot streak of their own.

The real bummer for the Knicks has been the continued absence of Alec Burks, who continues to rehab his knee. He had been serving as a super-sixth man for the team, and in his absence, there has been a lack of consistency off the pine. Austin Rivers and Immanuel Quickley have had some terrific moments but have not been able to carry that unit every night.

The Warriors, meanwhile, come in off a win against San Antonio on Wednesday and defeated the Lakers before that. In the Los Angeles game, we saw a Steph Curry game-clinching three to remind us of the olden times Warriors.

This Golden State team currently sits at 8-6 and has played terrific since Draymond Green made his return. All he does is make winning plays, and you have to throw his averages out the window when discussing him.

Odds:

The spread here is set at Golden State -5.5. Their moneyline is -210, while Knicks moneyline is +175.

Knicks Look for Third Straight Win

The most interesting part of the Knicks this year has been the emergence of their top option Julius Randle. He was looked at as a trade-candidate by the team after they drafted Obi Toppin, but doing so now would look extremely foolish. It’s also been great to see some improved play from RJ Barrett.

Barrett was the No. 3 pick by the Knicks in 2019, behind Zion Williamson and Ja Morant. The first two names are already becoming stars in the league during year two, while Barrett is taking steps in the right direction.

This is a selection from New York that there is no reason to bash. They took who they believed to be the best guy on the board.

This game will be a test for Knicks guards and how well they can cover Curry.

Dubs Seek Ninth Win

At 8-6, the Warriors have now won eight of their last 12 games since their 0-2 start. They had to play Brooklyn and Milwaukee to open the year, so they were a bit unprepared. They shook that poor start off and have been among the most impressive teams in the league thus far.

Imagine if Klay Thompson was healthy. The Warriors would be a legitimate dark horse NBA Finals team if that were the case.

He and Steph both getting hot, and they are too much to handle for most NBA defenses. How can you stop two of the greatest shooters ever, simultaneously?

Look for James Wiseman to be confident as he comes off his first 20-point game as an NBA player.

Warriors Win at Home

Sorry Knicks fans, but the Warriors will be too tough to beat.
