After a loss on the road at Dallas, the Warriors needed the road win in Los Angeles. Golden State understands the importance of playing well down the stretch. In the win over the Lakers, Steph Curry returned from an injury, and scored 31 points. Klay Thompson came off the bench and added 26.
Those two have been staples of a successful Warriors franchise for years. Curry leads the team with 27 points, while Thompson is at 17.2. Jonathan Kuminga, who is third on the team with 16.2 per game, is having a breakout season.
The Warriors will remain at home for two more after this. Golden State will host the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday, and Indiana Pacers on Friday. Following that, Golden State is on the road at Minnesota on March 24th.
