The NBA in-season tournament group play seemed to be a wild success. We saw some great games, and it finished up on Tuesday with a wild come back from the Kings over the Golden State Warriors. Now, we move to the tournament play, where eight teams will get together, before the final four will invade Las Vegas for the action. Let’s take a look at the most updated betting odds for the remaining teams:
Boston Celtics +310
Not only the favorites to win the in-season tournament, but likely the best team in the National Basketball Association. Boston will start on the road at the Indiana Pacers on Monday. The Celtics went 3-1 in Group C, but won the tiebreaker over the Magic and Nets with a blowout win Valuable Player type season for Boston, and they continue to be harder and harder to defend. The Celtics are the favorites at +310.
Milwaukee Bucks +350
Milwaukee went 4-0 in a group that featured the Knicks and the Heat. The Bucks needed all 48 minutes to take care of the Heat on Tuesday night in a tough one. In tournament games, the Bucks scored 125.5 points per game. The Greek Freak and Damian Lillard are heating up together, which makes this team really tough to slow down. The Bucks get a rematch of group play, as they host the Knicks Tuesday night.
Sacramento Kings +490
It was a comeback for the ages, as the Kings beat the Warriors at home on Tuesday night. That made the Kings unbeaten in the tournament. Them and the Lakers were the only teams in the West to win all four games. Sacramento also picked up wins over Minnesota, Oklahoma City and San Antonio during that time. De’Aaron Fox is showing up as one of the top players in the league. The Kings will now host the Pelicans Monday in an effort to get to Vegas.
Los Angeles Lakers +550
Do not tell LeBron James and Anthony Davis the NBA in-season tournament is not worth their time and effort. They were terrific, and so were the Lakers. They scored 123.5 points per game in wins over the Suns, Jazz, Portland and Memphis. Now, the Lakers will need to find that gear again, as they host the Suns Tuesday. Phoenix is red hot, so this will be quite the challenge for the home team.
Phoenix Suns +600
The Suns lone loss was to the Lakers. Phoenix won the wildcard spot out of the Western Conference, with their 8.5 point differential, which was better than Minnesota, who was 0.0. The Suns are red hot, as they have won 7 straight games heading into Wednesday’s action. They will face a familiar foe in the Lakers on Tuesday.
New Orleans Pelicans +1200
It will be good for hte league to have Zion Williamson in the in-season tournament. The Pelicans will have to go to Sacramento to play a late one against the Kings, but it should be a great test for the young team. After losing their first in-season tournament game, they came back and won their final three. The Pelicans are 12/1 odds to win it all.
Indiana Pacers +1400
The highest scoring team in the National Basketball Association during the in-season tournament was the Indiana Pacers. Indiana beat Cleveland, Philadelphia, Atlanta and Detroit, and scored 136.5 points per game. Now, the Pacers will take on the Boston Celtics, a team they may have a tough time speeding up and being successful with.
New York Knicks +1700
The Knicks went 3-1, and got into the tournament round with their excellent defense. The Knicks were the only team to allow less than 100 points per game on average. After starting with a loss to the Bucks, the Knicks downed the Heat, Hornets and Wizards to come up with a 10.5 point differential. New York is the biggest underdog at 17/1.
