We will have one of the top games of the night in the NBA, as the Milwaukee Bucks will be traveling to Utah and taking on the Utah Jazz. Milwaukee is arguably the top team in the NBA this season in terms of talent, as the team comes in with the top record in the NBA.
Utah, on the other hand, has a legitimate chance of making the playoffs if things do go their way throughout the next couple of weeks. It’s still uncertain if that’s what the organization wants to do, but it is something to keep in the back of our minds when we bet on them in the future. Milwaukee hasn’t found much success in Utah throughout the past few years, winning their first game in over 15 seasons in Utah last year.
The sportsbooks don’t seem too worried about that, as Milwaukee will be coming in as a 9-point favorite.

When looking at what the Milwaukee Bucks have done this season, it’s easy to see why people do believe that this team can win an NBA championship just as they did two seasons ago. Given the talent level of this team, it’s nearly impossible to deny that.
The Bucks are deep and easily one of the top teams in the NBA. At this point in the year, it’s all going to rely on their health and what they can do on a day-to-day basis. This game against Utah is a huge one for them if they want to secure first place in the Eastern Conference playoffs, and Milwaukee has made it known that they are interested in doing exactly that.
In prior years, the Bucks didn’t necessarily care about getting that #1 seed. However, this season has been completely different as they’ve turned it on in the second half and are looking to get that top seed and have home-court advantage against either Boston or Philadelphia in the Eastern Conference Finals.
Utah Could Win on Friday
It’s truly tough to understand what the Utah Jazz are doing this season, as they’re going to have multiple players sitting out. Lauri Markkanen is one of those guys that is expected to be out, and while he is actually hurt, it does seem like he could possibly play through this injury if he really wanted to. This could be an indication that Utah isn’t trying to make the playoffs, which does make some sense from their perspective.
Coming into the season, the Jazz weren’t expected to do much this year. Instead, the team came out and played excellent basketball and even found themselves in a top-eight playoff spot for most of the year. Now, they’ve been sitting around that 9-10 seed for the play-in spot and have been as low as #12. Although they are just 0.5 games behind it from the eighth seed, it looks like Utah might be focusing on potentially not making the playoffs and securing themselves another top draft pick.
Milwaukee Bucks vs Utah Jazz Oilers Prediction
Although this game is in Utah, and the Bucks have struggled there throughout the past few seasons, picking the Bucks -9 is going to be a good idea. This line is telling us that the books believe that Milwaukee is going to win, and given some of their recent results in Utah, that doesn’t make much sense. This is a pure line read here, and it seems to be a good idea to take Milwaukee.
