Milwaukee Bucks at Brooklyn Nets Betting Preview

The Bucks will visit the Nets in Brooklyn as part of a tripleheader televised on TNT in honor of MLK Day. The star power in this one is absolutely off the charts.

Milwaukee has been coming into their own of late, though their 2X MVP seems to have forgotten how to make a free throw. While Giannis Antetokounmpo has done well to improve his three-point shooting, he cannot score from 15-feet away. He shot a paltry 1-10 from the foul line in the team’s last game and was lucky they were still able to claim victory.

The Nets may or may not have Kyrie Irving here, but it might not make a difference. James Harden became the first player in NBA history with a 30-point triple-double in a team debut when he put one up for Brooklyn on Saturday.

Harden is back with Kevin Durant, who he played the first three years of his career with. The two of them seem to be unstoppable.

ODDS:

The spread for this contest is set at Bucks -2. The over/under is 238 points.

Bucks Look for Another Win

While everybody around the league is gushing over what Durant and Harden can do, Milwaukee has a very talented trio of their own in Jrue Holiday, Khris Middleton, and of course, Antetokounmpo. This could be a potential Eastern Conference Finals preview.

Antetokounmpo’s shortcomings are still haunting the team, but they have been able to overcome most of them. His impact on the floor is tremendous with all of the things he can do to help them win. Middleton is still a sniper, and Holiday has done an excellent job this year while being reverted to his original point guard role.

Defensively, they will have their hands full, but that’s where they have to win.

Brooklyn Looks to Make a Statement

It is still unclear if Irving will play, but the team will have three of the game’s greatest closers sharing the court if he does. While that may be a bit of a cluster, it could also work out in their favor, as the other team will have no clue what to expect. Who do you double team?

It’s been an up and down year for the Nets, who are still dealing with the Spencer Dinwiddie injury and figuring out their rotations. But, there is so much talent, and that alone might be able to mask their potential shortcomings and weak play from the center position. DeAndre Jordan is likely past his starting prime, but here he is.

The Nets need to come out scorching and get the game out of reach, not allowing the Bucks to dictate the terms of the engagement.

Nets Win at Home

Playing on their home floor, Brooklyn will earn themselves a win.
