The Los Angeles Dodgers were expected to control the NL West this season, but the Arizona Diamondbacks have kept pace with the Dodgers. The Diamondbacks led the division for most of the first half of the season, but the Dodgers have taken control of first place. Arizona will try to keep the pressure on the Dodgers in the second half of the season.
Perennial All-Star, Paul Goldschmidt, is having another solid season for the Arizona Diamondbacks. After a slow start in 2018, Goldschmidt has hit 21 homers to lead the Diamondbacks.
