Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings Betting Preview

Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings Betting Preview

The only difference between the Packers and Vikings this year are their win-loss records. That might sound like something obvious, but it’s not, really. Green Bay has twice as many wins, but Minnesota has been losing all of their games by one possession, getting the old Chargers treatment where bad luck befalls them at the end of every last contest.

Green Bay has another week of Aaron Rodgers here, and they have picked up wins in his last eight starts. The not-vaccinated fiasco he was a part of has come and gone, and the focus is back on him as a QB. He brings so much to the table as a signal-caller and has done nothing but win in the regular season while being paired with Matt LaFleur.

As for the Vikings, their season is far from over. They have had quite a few disappointing defeats over the course of the year but still have some time to turn things around, no doubt. They have a lot of talent and could find a way to go on a long streak. They just need to remain healthy and to continue to share the ball as they are among receivers.

Kirk Cousins will need a big game to try and get his team comfortable against the mighty Packers.

Betting Odds & Lines

The spread for Sunday is set at GB -1. The over/under is set at 47.5 points. The Packers moneyline is -116, while MIN is +101.

Packers Seeking Ninth Win

They got foiled by the Bucs last year but based on the first ten weeks of the year; it would appear that the Packers would be able to win if they met in the NFC title game. This is a squad that has played well in spite of injuries and will try and win this one without Aaron Jones. It is still very doable.

Rodgers has continued to sling the ball, making the most of the guys he has. The return of Randall Cobb has been huge, and he has been far better than anybody could have imagined. When Aaron is the one slinging the ball, just be in the right place at the right time. And you will rack up the yardage.

Their defense needs to be ready for this one.

Vikings Seek Move Back to .500

At 4-5, the Vikings have not done everything expected of them this year. Kellen Mond isn’t going to come in and play QB because Kirk Cousins is getting paid a lot of money and is still good enough to be the starter here. He needs to have a big week because this game will either mark a quick plummet or a rapid turnaround.

There are some good things with this team, and also some bad ones. They have a lot of talent on both sides of the ball but just cannot execute at the end of games. They will try again to do that, but if they fail, 4-6 is not somewhere they would like to be.

Packers Win

Minnesota will fall short at home as Green Bay improves to 9-2.
