Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs Betting Preview

Tennessee Titans at Cleveland Browns Betting Preview

The battle for first place is on in Kansas City. The on-and-off Broncos head to Arrowhead to face the Chiefs, the winner taking the first seed in the AFC West. The division has been pretty tightly contested all year, and this Week 13 matchup promises to tell us a lot about both of these teams and how serious their aspirations are for the season.

Denver has Teddy Bridgewater back out there, healthy and gunning again. This season has featured ups and downs for him, but with the receiving corps that this team has, he has had no issues making things work.

The only problem has been Noah Fant, who has not gotten nearly enough yards or targets to this point in the year. They are not handling him with care. He could bolt.

As for KC, they have been hot of late. No 7-4 team has ever received as much slander as this year’s Chiefs. But, the defense finally figured out how to play, while it was obvious that Patrick Mahomes would fall back into a groove. The team has been riding high for several weeks and looks like contenders to make a third Super Bowl in a row this February.

The defense of the Broncos will be the deciding factor in this game. If they can perform well enough and limit KC’s big plays, they will have a chance.

Betting Odds & Lines

The spread for Sunday night is set at KC -13. The over/under is sitting at 51.5 points. The KC moneyline is -900, while DEN is +600.

Denver Seeking Huge Victory

Surprisingly listed as major underdogs, Denver has a lot at stake this week. If they want to get back to the playoffs, it will have to start with winning this game. The franchise has done very little positive since Peyton Manning retired following the Super Bowl win. And a win here would push them into first place in a crowded AFC West.

The two-headed rushing attack of Melvin Gordon and Javonte Williams has been very effective, each guy with over 580 yards on the ground, the only team entering last week that had a duo with such numbers at running back this year.

They will need those two and for Teddy to find the open man early and often. It will take 30+ pts for Denver to be able to win.

KC Aims for Eighth Win

A team that has been hot of late, KC has peaked at a good time. Or perhaps, this isn’t the top for them yet, but they are moving closer. A strong team in several areas, they haven’t been defeated in quite a while. Another victory for them would be monumental for their chances of hosting a playoff game.

The AFC has so many teams .500 or above, all vying for spots this year. Things will get complicated if they fail to deliver a win — no question about it.

Denver Finds Way to Cover

Forget about the moneyline. Denver as +13 is a safe bet in a game that promises to be fun in primetime.
