Crazy Super Bowl XLIX Prop Bet Results

FootballSportsBettingSuper Bowl XLIX has come and gone.  The sports books appeared to have hit their worst result – a Patriots win and the over.  The final score also made every teaser combination win.  The sports books may have pulled off a small win due to prop bets.

The crazy prop bets below were not available in Nevada.  These could only be bet at offshore sports books. Some prop bets from our previous report have yet to be resolved.

Which team will President Obama pick to win Super Bowl?

This bet pushed as President Obama did not pick a team.

Number of seconds it took to sing National Anthem.

The over 122.5 seconds bet won.

Will Idina Menzel forget or omit at least one word of National Anthem?

No -800 won as every word was recited.

Color/style of Bill Belichick hoodie:

Blue +180 won for the color, and it had sleeves for +150.

Will Al Michaels refer to the point spread or any other betting?

Yes +200 won as there was a discussion towards the end of the third quarter about how the game was a pick’em.

Will the announcers discuss that Pete Carroll was the previous coach of the New England Patriots?

Yes won for +100 as there was a timeline and other discussion about Carroll’s term in New England.

Katy Perry Halftime Bets:

Katy Perry wore a skirt to start the halftime show, which paid -175.  She started with “Roar”, a +140 winner.  The black/brown won for the hair color, paying +200.

There was some controversy with BetOnline’s prop bet on whether Katy Perry showed cleavage during the halftime show.  BetOnline decided to pay both sides of this wager.

Russell Wilson vs Gas Prices

Russell Wilson beat gas prices by about $.41.  While the prop bet uses Monday’s gas prices, this is an easy winner as Wilson threw for 247 yards and only laid 15.5 points against gas prices per gallon in cents, which should be around $2.05 on Monday.

Who will the Super Bowl MVP thank first?

Tom Brady thanked his family for a +1200 payout at Bovada.

What color of Gatorade will be poured on the winning coach’s head?

It was blue Gatorade for a +750 payout.

Will Chancellor hurdle an offensive line on a Patriots field goal attempt?

The no -240 win here.  The Patriots did not have a field goal attempt.  If they did, Chancellor had a knee injury suffered on Friday that made this doubtful.

Which college conference will the first touchdown scorer represent?

Brandon LaFell scored the first touchdown.  He went to LSU, making the SEC +550 bet the winner.

These were just a sample of the crazy Super Bowl bets that were offered by offshore books.  Preseason NFL starts again in August.  4Flush will be back then to report on NFL betting.
