In the Big 12 – there is a huge College Basketball game Tuesday night from Phog Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence Kansas. The Texas Tech Red Raiders go on the road and take on the Kansas Jayhawks. The Jayhawks are seeking their 14th straight Big 12 title. They started the conference season with a road win at the Texas Longhorns. Overall, Kansas is 11-2 on the season.
The Texas Tech Red Raiders also won their Big 12 opener. The Red Raiders led by head coach Chris Beard have been fantastic to start the season. The Red Raiders are 12-1 on the season, with their lone loss to Seton Hall. Texas Tech is coming off their blowout win at home over Baylor. The Kansas Jayhawks are -6 over the Texas Tech Red Raiders on Tuesday.
The Kansas Jayhawks have been one of the top three point teams in the nation. The Jayhawks nailed 17 threes in the win over the Longhorns, and now are making 11.2 per game. Red Raiders Surprise Start in 2017
The Texas Tech Red Raiders were one of the biggest surprises in all of College Basketball in 2017. The Red Raiders scored 81.3 points per game, but the defensive side is where they won games. The Red Raiders have the second best scoring defense in the country. They are allowing teams to score just 58.2 points per game.
The top scorer this season for the Red Raiders has been Keenan Evans. The guard is scoring 166 points per game, and dishing out 4 assists per game. Zhaire Smith and Jarrett Culver are combining for more than 21 points per game as well. Texas Tech’s best two wins this season have come over the Wildcats of Northwestern and Bears of Baylor.
