Christmas Day is almost here. As you settle down with the family, eat your food and open your gifts, you will find this is a big year of sports on Christmas Day. Patrick Mahomes has seen some rough patches this season from his receivers, but push comes to shove, here they are. The Raiders are using Aidan O’Connell the rest of the season, and coming off a 63 point performance on Thursday Night.
Golden State Warriors +5.5 at Denver Nuggets; 230.5
It has been an extreme struggle for Steve Kerr and his Golden State Warriors. Father time seems to have caught up with the best players on the roster. On the other side, the Denver Nuggets are kind of pacing themselves through the regular season. Nikola Jokic will not have to face Draymond Green in this one, as the Warriors forward remains suspended. The Nuggets will have a primetime audience watching them, so expect their solid play here.
New York Giants +12 at Philadelphia Eagles; 42.5
The first of two meetings left between these two NFC East rivals. The Giants lost their chance at the postseason last week, losing to the Saints. The Eagles have dropped three in a row. This is the middle game of the doubleheader. Philadelphia is going to be ready for the primetime action. But they better hope they play well, or look for snow balls to be thrown at Santa in the city of brotherly love.
Boston Celtics -1.5 at Los Angeles Lakers
Two of the oldest, most storied franchises in all of sports. Jayson Tatum and his Boston Celtics against LeBron James and his Los Angeles Lakers. The Celtics lost a big lead on Tuesday to start the road trip with a loss. THis is the final game of the trip for the Celtics, and with a national audience, we expect a big game from Tatum. Can anyone on the Lakers slow him down? Los Angeles on the other side has struggled since their in-season tournament title win.
Philadelphia 76ers +1.5 at Miami Heat
It’s the 76ers and the Heat from Miami Christmas evening. It’s Joel Embiid and his cast of characters on the road to visit South Beach where Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler await. The Heat are still the defending Eastern Conference Champions. Philadelphia, despite their recent loss to the Bulls, seem like a true contender in the East.
Baltimore Ravens +5.5 at San Francisco 49ers; 46.5
The game of the day in sports? The top two teams in the National Football League are set to square off in the bay area. This is the third and final game on the National Football League slate for Christmas day. The Ravens and 49ers are both 11-3 on the season. A potential Super Bowl matchup? The world gets to see just how talented Christian McCaffrey, and really the entire San Francisco offense really is.
Dallas Mavericks +5.5 at Phoenix Suns
The final game of the night is in the desert. Luka Doncic will wrap up his Christmas in Phoenix. Bradley Beal, Kevin Durant and Devin Booker appear to all be back and going for the Suns. It will take some time, but those three are going to form a dangerous connection. Look for a nice game from them, as they slow Luka down enough to win at home.
