Western Kentucky Hilltoppers vs. Old Dominion Monarchs
The Hilltoppers from Conference USA take on the Monarchs from the SUn Belt. The Hilltoppers and Monarchs both come into the game with a two game winning streak. Western Kentucky looks like they could be without Austin Reed, their top quarterback in this game, as he plans to sit out the game. It will be interesting to see if they can score without him. On the other side, the Monarchs just got into the bowl game. They will look to finish strong, at -5 in this game on Monday night.
UTSA Roadrunners vs. Marshall Thundering Herd
The Frisco Bowl in Texas will feature a team from San Antonio in the Roadrunners. UTSA is a big favorite in this game against the Thundering Herd. UTSA, out of the American Athletic Conference, will look to get the ball up and down the field against a Marshall team that finished 7th in their conference, and also needed a win in the season finale to get bowl eligible. UTSA is -11.5.
South Florida Bulls vs. Syracuse Orange
The South Florida Bulls get a little bit of a home type of game here in the Boca Raton Bowl. While the Bulls are in Tampa, not Boca, the travel will be much shorter. Syracuse and South Florida both are 6-6, and both struggled through much of the season. This could be an ugly one, but the Orange come into the game as the favorite. Syracuse is -3.
Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets vs. Central Florida Knights
In the Gasparilla Bowl in Tampa, the Yellow Jackets from Atlanta are underdogs in this game. Georgia Tech is listed at -4.5, and the total is 66.5. The Knights are hoping for a full strength roster before their off-season makeover. Look for the Knights to use the ground game, and their aerial attack to see what they can do against the Yellow Jackets.
Arkansas State Red Wolves vs. Northern Illinois Huskies
The first game on Saturday is the Camellia Bowl in Alabama, Both teams come into this game at 6-6 on the season. This is one of the tightest games of the bowl season. Arkansas State is listed at -1 over Northern Illinois.
Troy Trojans vs. Duke Blue Devils
In the Birmingham Bowl, the Troy Trojand are the talk of the town. The Trojans went 11-2 on the season. Troy has won 10 straight games. They will face a Duke team that has a whole new look, with coaching staff and quarterback. It will be interesting to see how the Blue Devils fare with some new blood. Troy is the favorite in this game at -7.5.
Georgia State Panthers vs. Utah State Aggies
Another game between 6-6 teams; with this one as part of the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. The Panthers started hot with 6 wins in 7 games. But with five straight losses, the yare reeling coming into their bowl game. Utah State is the small favorite in this game. The Aggies are listed at -1.5.
James Madison Dukes vs. Air Force Falcons
The 11-1 Duke against the 8-4 Falcons. This is the Armed Forces Bowl. While that sides towards the Falcons, it’s going to be tough for the Falcons to slow down Duke. James Madison had just one loss on the season. The Dukes are favorites here at -2.5 over the Falcons.
South Alabama Jaguars vs. Eastern Michigan Panthers
The 68 Ventures Bowl game in Alabama. Saturday evening will feature a pair of teams combining for over 50 points per game. The Jaguars Are going to want to push the pass with their passing game, while the Panthers would love to make it a defensive slugest. South Alabama is a massive favorite here. The Jaguars are -15 over the Panthers.
Utah Utes vs. Northwestern Wildcats
It’s the Pac-12 against the Big-10. Utah played in the Rose Bowl a season ago. The Wildcats were projected not to win a game all season. This should be quite the battle, but the Utes are the more talented team. Can they win in Las Vegas? The Utes are -6.5 Saturday night with a total of 41.5.
Coastal Carolina Chanticleers vs. San Jose State Spartans
The final game on Saturday is the Hawaii Bowl. The Spartans are -10 against the Chanticleers in this game. It’s a battle of 7-5 teams, with the final game before Christmas. Should be a fun final game of the day.
