We have a top 25 college basketball contest on Saturday at 8:30 pm ET as the Auburn Tigers take on the Arkansas Razorbacks. Arkansas comes in as the #13 ranked team in America, while Auburn comes in at #22. Whenever we see two of the top teams in the Eastern Conference going at it, we can typically expect a fun and exciting contest.
This night won’t be any different as the two are expected to make an incredible run throughout the year and even have a chance of winning a National Championship.
Auburn is the home team and comes in at -2 on the spread line.
Arkansas Needs to React as an Underdog
It’s not every day that we see the Arkansas Razorbacks as an underdog. There’s a reason why this team is a top 15 team, and giving them points might not be the smartest idea from the sportsbooks. If Arkansas can come out and continue doing what they’ve been able to do this season, there’s a great chance that we can see them win this game outright.
Ricky Council IV seems to be the guy for Arkansas this season. He’s currently averaging an impressive 18.4 points per game, which ranked him 49th in the country. Not only is he top 50 in scoring, but he’s shooting nearly 50% from the field as a guard. Council has been impressive this season and has a real chance of dominating again on Saturday.
Auburn Needs to Win a Big Game
Auburn might be a tad underrated this season. I personally have loved what I’ve seen from them. They have wins over South Florida, Northwestern, Washington, Florida, and others. However, they are coming into this one after an incredibly disappointing loss against the Georgia Bulldogs, where they lost by 12 points. If they want to win this game, they need to come out and play much better.
Johni Broome is someone to watch out for here. He’s averaging 13.1 points, 8.7 rebounds, and shooting 50% from the field. The sophomore forward out of Plant City, Florida, has a real chance of being drafted in the 2023 NBA Draft. Games like this are huge for him, and it’s going to be interesting to see if he can come out and dominate in a big moment.
Arkansas Razorbacks vs. Auburn Tigers Prediction
This is an interesting line, and I think the books are trying to trap us. Why would Auburn be favored in this game after a 14-point loss against a below-average Georgia game? While I do think both teams can win, taking Arkansas with the points doesn’t seem like a bad idea. They’re the better team here and has a chance to win this one outright.
If you’re a fan of college basketball, I highly suggest watching this game. These are two teams that have a real chance of making noise this season and playing each other should be an exciting one. Either side can come away with the tough win.
