Michigan will soon have its first online bracelet series as it joins Nevada, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. So, there will be 88 live bracelets and 29 online bracelet events this summer.
This is over a month since the World Series of Poker (WSOP) started operating in Michigan. Many local poker players were wondering when they would start competing for WSOP gold bracelets at home. The WSOP officials answered their questions when they recently revealed the WSOP Michigan (MI) first online bracelet series’ schedule.
The series will take place from June 5, like in other American states. The Great Lakes State’s players will have eight bracelet events each Sunday up to July 17 and one event on July 16. But only Michigan online poker players will access this year’s bracelet events as WSOP hasn’t yet merged its Nevada (NV) and New Jersey (NJ) player pools with the one in Michigan.
The Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) is likely to expeditiously sign the Multi-State Internet Gaming Agreement (MSIGA) once the State Attorney General reviews it. WSOP MI might have linked its WSOP NV and WSOP NJ player pools before another online bracelet event takes place.
Before then, online poker players can win a gold bracelet as the fields will be small.
More Details About WSOP MI’s First Online Bracelet’s Schedule
WSOP MI replicates what other poker providers have been providing to Pennsylvania players. It will have eight bracelets with buy-ins of $400 to $1,000 each Sunday between July 5 and July 17.
A No-Limit Hold’em BIG 500 will kick off the bracelets, and it has a $500 price tag. Players can re-enter thrice to win the cash prize.
An NLH Ultra Deepstack will follow it and will have a 2× re-entry worth $400. It is the most affordable bracelet event in WSOP MI’s June 12 schedule. A Pot-Limit Omaha event will be next, and it is suitable for four-card diehards who are willing to spend $500.
An Online Deepstack Championship will follow and have a $600 buy-in. The No-Limit Hold’em Deepstack will run on July 3, has a $500 buy-in and 2× re-entry.
The series’ schedule will peak on July 10, when the No-Limit Hold’em Online Bracelet Championship will take place. Reports state that it is its unofficial Main Event and will cost players $1,000, thus being the most expensive tournament on the schedule. Even so, players can re-enter twice.
The NLH Lucky 7’s is the only event that will occur on Saturday and will have a $777 buy-in. A Summer Saver will follow it and will be the schedule’s final bracelet event. The events will either start at 5:00 p.m. or 6:30 p.m. ET.
WSOP Michigan Online Bracelet Series
WSOP MI appointed Joe Cada as its ambassador, and he is excited about winning a WSOP bracelet from the Wolverine State. He informed pokerfuse in last month’s interview that he has been longing to win bracelets from his home as he doesn’t make many poker stops.
Michigan will have eight bracelets, Pennsylvania eight bracelets, while Nevada and New Jersey will offer 13 bracelets. Top players might break some records on virtual and live felts.
