WSOP Circuit Poker Tournament in Atlantic City – Day 1

Harrahs WSOP Circuit Event It is WSOP Circuit time at Harrah’s Atlantic City and this one is getting started with plenty of big names to go around both from the poker and entertainment world.

Big poker names like Andy Black, Robert Williamson III and Cyndy Violette were among the familiar names to take to the table. There were also previous winners here to take part, Carlos Uz (WSOP-C Indiana winner), Louie Esposito (WSOP-C New Orleans winner) and defending champion Rick Rosetti. Also from the online world, Alan ‘BodogAri’ Engel was at the tables as one of the 244 players vying for the $379,392 first place prize money, $10,000 WSOP Main Event entry and of course the WSOP Circuit ring.

There was more than just poker stardom at the WSOP Circuit event, Montel Williams was also entered in this tournament. If you recall, Montel made a decent showing in the 2007 WSOP finishing in the middle of the pack in the main event field. This time he will also play a solid Day 1 and be around for the start of Day2.

110 players made it through Day 1 but unfortunately some had to go and of the big names, Doug Carli, Alan ‘BodogAri’ Engel, Chris Reslock and Cyndy Violette didn’t make it.
