Starting this Sunday, the WSOP sites of New Jersey and Nevada will be offering the Spring Poker Series. Each state will be offering the series from the 10th to the 17th with eight days of gaming options. In Nevada, players will be competing for more than $100,000 in guaranteed prize money while New Jersey residents will be competing for slightly less at $90,000 guaranteed.
The highlight of the schedule will be the Main Event which will offer $50,000 in guaranteed prize money for Nevada and $40,000 in New Jersey. Both states have buy-ins of $200 with rebuy and add-on options. The winner of each Main Event will be able to earn the prize money for the first place finish as well as an exclusive Champions Ring provided by the WSOP.
The Spring Poker Series makes it easy for everyone to compete with most buy-ins ranging in price from $10 to $100, except for the Main Event which is $200, and a few others with higher buy-ins. The series was created as part of the Series of Online Championships by the WSOP. In the beginning of the year, players could take part in the Winter Poker Classic, then the Spring Poker Series. Coming up in June, the next portion of the Championships takes place with the Online Championships. In October, the next round takes place and is titled the Fall Poker Festival.
The Spring Poker Series will begin with the $30,000 GTD No Limit Hold’em event which will start on the 10th. The series will feature NLHE in every event until the 13th when a Pot Limit Omaha event is on the schedule.
The WSOP is unique as they can offer players in Nevada as well as New Jersey similar gaming options, especially when it comes to online poker series and tournaments. Residents as well as visitors to either state can take part in the Spring Poker Series when it begins this Sunday.
