World Trade Order Panel Makes Decision Regarding US Online Gambling Ban

Today was a big day, not only for those in the online poker and gambling industry, but for those that invest in online gambling stocks, and those that enjoy the actual activity of gambling online.

A World Trade Organization Panel today in a 287 page report confirmed an their preliminary ruling made in favor of Antigua and Barbuda earlier in the month. The report stated that the Untied States is cannot ban online gambling while the country is still allowing off track horse betting.

The debate stemmed from the Port Security Bill that was signed into law by President Bush on October 13th. Many say that the gambling language was added into the bill in the middle of the night and voted on by many without ever having been read.

This is definitely a milestone for the Gambling Industry and the rights of American Citizens.
