World Poker Tour Partners With Game Play Network to Offer Better Online Poker

The World Poker Tour (WPT) and Game Play Network (GPN) have joined hands to expand their portfolio and offer better online poker gaming. Each of the brands is bringing something to the table, making the partnership a strategic plan.

For starters, WPT is a world-known brand intending to expand its online portfolio in the USA. On the other hand, GPN offers its games to 22 different states in America and wants to extend that to at least 40 states. The partnership will see WPT offer GPN’s products across the country subsequently.

The WPT CEO said that his company had an extensive live tournament and global footprint, noting that the platform was continually growing. Adam Pliska said that the partnership with GPN was motivated by the WPT’s interest to offer its fans quality online games. The WPT partnered with GPN because fans would openly accept its products while improving the WPT’s branding.

Pliska also noted that they partnered with GPN for it was made up of an exceptional team whose product was unrivaled in the market. Pliska said that he looked forward to finalizing the partnership, terming it as something with the potential to change the industry.

The Chief Commercial Officer for GPN shared Pliska’s view. Sam Kiki noted there were a few poker brands as robust and popular as WPT. Kiki was happy that his company was offering its real money content to WPT, hoping the partnership would take the two companies to greater levels.

WPT Dives into iGaming

WPT has been building its brand around live poker tournaments since its launch in 2001. Following steady growth, the brand decided to grow its international market and build its live poker tour.

On the other hand, the World Series of Poker, which also focused on live poker, started focusing on online poker. In 2020, the brand was able to continue offering online poker while WPT had to halt due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

WPT has not had enough exposure to online poker. But, with the new partnership, it is clear that it has changed its strategy to expand its online portfolio.

The company did not rush to partner with GPN. Instead, it took its time reviewing several iGaming game suppliers before settling with the GPN network for its patented platform, talented team, and quality products.

This partnership will help World Poker Tour grow its online presence and offer its wide fan base in America and other regions a collection of quality games.

This is not the only significant change WPT is making. Earlier this year, the company’s ownership changed from Allied Esports to Element Partners LLC for $105 million.

Game Play Network

Game Play Network is not a popular brand as not many poker players are aware of it. But, it is a company characterized by unrivaled games and an incredible team.

The company is located just out of Los Angeles. It operates its unproven technology and software platform. Game Play Network was launched in 2012 to offer business-to-customer services through bspot.com.

It allows other brands to offer real money casino games in states that are yet to legalize internet gaming. The brand also offers casino games such as slots and video poker. Moreover, the Federal Interstate Horseracing Act and other state laws require GPN to offer horse betting wagering.
