A strong proponent of online gaming in the United States is now a little stronger. The American Gaming Association has now announced that three companies have joined the group as new members. Wynn Resorts, Churchill Downs and Station Casinos are the latest members to join ranks with the lobbyist group. The AGA, based in Washington, D.C., consists of several top companies in the gaming industry and hopes the latest additions with help with the evolution of the group.
Geoff Freeman is the CEO and President of the American Gaming Association and Freeman commented on the new members by stating in a recent press release: “This is a critical step in the AGA’s evolution as a representative of the entire gaming industry. We will continue to be passionate advocates for the enormous value the gaming industry provides and there is increasing support for our agenda.”

Isle of Capri Casinos, Inc.

Southern Wine and Spirits of Nevada

Penn National Gaming, Inc.

Station Casinos
Churchill Downs Inc.
Federal legalization is widely supported throughout the AGA except from the Chairman of the Las Vegas Sands Corp, Sheldon Adelson, who is widely opposed to online gaming. This is not uncommon in organizations for there to be disagreements but the stance of the group will now weigh heavily towards legalization after the addition of the three new members.
The Station Casino is known for providing Nevada with the very first online poker site, so their feelings should be quite obvious. Both Wynn and Churchill Downs also are considered to be in favor of online gambling. Each new company that has joined the AGA will add a representative to the Board of Directors of the group. Steve Wynn should be representing Wynn Resorts while Frank Fertitta III should be the representative for Stations Casino.
