The Gold Bracelet Events For 2021 WSOP Online Is Off To a Good Start

The 2021 WSOP Online on GGPoker Network has already kicked off. The first two opening events have already happened and were a huge success. The two attracted over 32k entries and generated over $3 million prize money.

The first event, dubbed as The Return, had a guaranteed prize of $1 million, which was surpassed by over 40 percent. Players entered the event with an entry fee of $50. The event saw over 30,800 entries.

This opening event attracted a higher number than last year’s 29,306 entries. However, the 2020 buy-in for the same event was $100, resulting in prize money of over $2.5 million.

The second event, dubbed as the $1,111 Caesars Cares Charity Event, also attracted a huge number, slightly lower than 2020s. The event was similar to last year’s event #33, dubbed as Every 1 for Covid Relief. With 1584 entries, the event’s August prize pool of over $1.75 million.

The head-up match for the first two events featured a player with over one billion in chips. Now until September 12, 2021, players will compete for 33 gold bracelets. There will also be other nine tournaments with a seven-figure guarantee, each inviting several flights.

The first two international games kicked off on the same day domestic events were happening in New Jersey and Nevada on August 1. Now, players are invited to play one of the most coveted poker tournaments for an incredible prize.

Upcoming WSOP Bracelet Events

The next highlight of this year’s WSOP Online festivals is the MTT format Flip & Go No-Limit Hold’em. The event enters the Go Stage on Sunday, August 8. Players are free to join several flip stages to succeed for the Go Stage. They will then play the regular MTT until there is one winner.

The final day for Event #7, dubbed as Millionaire Maker, will also happen on August 8. The event has a guarantee of $5 million. The ultimate winner for this event will get $1 million.

Another highlight is the $10 million in promotions up for grabs on the GGPoker throughout August. This is the largest promotion given by the brand in one month.

There is also the $5000 Main Event boasting a prize pool of $20 million. This and other great matches await all poker enthusiasts across the world.

Servers Were Stable Even With Huge Turnouts

In July 2020, the GGPoker’s servers crashed following a massive turnout for WSOP Event #32 and #33. GGPoker took it to Twitter to apologize to players. The brand said they had experienced a severe bug leading to the postponement of the two events to a week later.

The brand also promised to donate all the $177,378 accumulated from the COVID-19 relief charity event. GGPoker also refunded the $100 buy-in it got for The Opener.

This year, GGPoker was well prepared. Despite running the first two international opening events concurrently with domestic events, everything ran smoothly. But, one day before the start of this year’s WSOP Online, GGPoker Network experienced a hitch. The operator feared that last year’s jitters might return.

The hitch even led to GGPoker canceling some ongoing tournaments and refunded buy-ins. But, after several successful maintenance protocols, the GGPoker Discord server was up and running efficiently, ready for the August 1 event.
