SCOOP Day 11 Overview — Connor Drinan Lands His Third Title

The 2020 Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) is currently underway, with a lot of events happening on a daily basis. Another great Sunday has passed and we were able to see some great online poker action. In fact, a total of 12 people were crowned champions last Sunday, one of whom was Connor Drinan.

Blanconegro Cashes Out with Over $150k

Drinan, who goes by the name of “blanconegro” in the world of online poker, has made a somewhat personal record by landing his third SCOOP title. He defeated a huge field of players who took part in SCOOP 40-H: $5,200 PLO and won a total of $152,011 as the first-placed player.

The event lasted for more than four hours, and Connor “blanconegro” Drinan showcased his excellent poker skills and intuition. After an exciting heads-up part, he managed to defeat a player from Japan called “kjunia.” The Japanese had to settle for the second place and the consolation prize of $115,701.

The event offered a guaranteed prize pool of $750,000 which was reached after 150 entries were recorded. A total of 94 unique players took part in this event.

Drinan’s third title in SCOOP must not have come to him as a surprise as he is now accustomed to massive successes in online poker. Apart from winning three SCOOP titles, he has also recorded three titles in World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) events. Nevertheless, he had a very tough job last time as he had to beat some of the world’s most popular online poker players, such as Lauri Varonen (also known as “Lateski”), Ignat “0Human0” Liviu, “soldatikk,” and others.
