PokerStars has announced a special series of satellites that are called the WCOOP Extreme Satellites. The satellite series will see $1 million in WCOOP seats added to the satellite tournaments which will run August 4th to August 16th.
Mike Jones a poker room manager for PokerStars commented: “We’re calling them the WCOOP Extreme Satellites, harkening to extreme sports in the sense that we’re having a massive giveaway in the satellites. Players can compete in the Extreme satellites to try and win one of the many seats to a WCOOP event. Each seat that is won will be for a specific buy-in amount. The 2009 WCOOP will have forty five events in all areas of poker. Players will be able to compete in H.O.R.S.E., No Limit Hold’em, Razz, Pot Limit Omaha and many, many more. The series is set to run from September 3rd to the 20th so players have plenty of time to try their hand at the Extreme satellites to earn their seat to a WCOOP event.
