The $1,600 Mystery Bounty that Paul Tedeschi won $82,500 in bounties and a $232,474 cash prize formed the 2022 Wynn Summer Classic. The player battled it out for over 14 hours and beat Roscoe Light in a heads-up battle.
Tedeschi stated after the event that he felt good as it was his last tournament in the Las Vegas series. He lost several tournaments but won his last one.
The tournament attracted 2,190 entrants who formed a $3,175,500 prize pool. Yet, 239 players had a $2,350 min-cash as they proceeded to Day 2 to get a chance to make a six-figure score even after failing to qualify for the final table.
Each entrant who busted an opponent got an opportunity to instantly win $500 to $100,000. They vied for three $100,000 bounties that Shouvi Gao, David To, and Andrei Stoenescu claimed. Anyone who missed the biggest prize still had chances to win any of the eight $25,000 bounties and five $50,000 bounties that were up for grabs.

Action on the Final Day
There were 239 players early on the final day. Stoenescu got the first major bounty in the first two hours of play, during which the field was reduced by more than a third.
The players battled out on the felt after the first break, and To got the $100,000 bounty just before the dinner break. Gao redeemed a mystery bounty shortly before the dinner break ended, and he got the final top bounty prize.
Notable players who fell at different times in the day included Ryan Laplante, Shannon Shorr, Jason Wheeler, Shankar Pillai, Karina Jett, and Sohale Khalili. Eliminations continued fast after the dinner break ended as three tables were reduced to ten players in almost two hours.
Tedeschi had a small stack when he got two doubles and steadily maintained his progress. Kurt Jewell got busted in tenth place after an hour and a half. The remaining players sat at one table with Tedeschi leading them.
Jason Nablo lost to Tedeschi in ninth place as Light got a huge pot that increased his tack. He sent Michael Marder packing in eighth place and Nicolas Plantin in seventh using pocket queens.
Tom Kinney finished sixth after Light cracked his pocket kings. David To advanced to the payout desk in fifth place after his ducks lost to Tedeschi. The latter’s superior ace pipped Adrian State and eliminated him in the fourth position.
Viliyan Petleshkov had the smallest stack when three-handed action started. He evened the stacks after facing Tedeschi’s pocket aces. Light and Tedeschi busted the remaining players at the final table.
The two players took a brief break after eliminating their opponents and discussed a heads-up deal before the break ended. Their agreement gave Tedeschi the Wynn trophy and the bounty title while Light finished second.
