Pardo Wins Another High-Roller Event in EPT Barcelona

Playing on your home court is a big advantage in every sport. Some people feel that they have all the power in the world when they are at home and are supported by their fans, friends, and family.

Juan Pardo is one such player who managed to make history in EPT Barcelona by winning two high-roller events that were less than 12 hours apart. Is it luck? Is it pure skill? Whatever it was, Pardo had a lot of it and managed to create history.

The first event that Juan Pardo took down was the EPT Barcelona €25,000 Single-Day High Roller. The player from Spain did an outstanding job but remained somewhat under the shadow of Gerard Pique, a famous soccer player who ended up in second place.

It seems that he wanted his moment all for himself and immediately switched to playing a second event, which was a €50,000 Single-Day High Roller, where he managed to win a total of €1,013,860.

Naturally, Pardo was hyped about winning the day before he started playing the €50,000 event. He said that he tried not to think about it and to focus on the event at hand.

Pardo added that he had just wanted to play his best game, just like in every other tournament.

The entire day was somewhat ominous as there was thunder and lightning in Barcelona, but Pardo did not care about that. He gave his best, defeating Seth Davies in the heads-up part of the game to wrap up the event and take first place.

Final Table Results

The final table consisted of eight players from all over the world. The first one to hit the rail in eighth place was a Lithuanian named Laurynas Levinskas, who managed to earn a total of €138,520. Next in line was Steve O’Dwyer from Ireland. O’Dwyer snatched a total of €176,960 from the prize pool.

Timothy Adams took sixth place. The Canadian earned €224,890, only to be followed by Ali Imsirovic for €287,570. Another Canadian, Luc Greenwood, ended up in fourth place for €363,150.

Third place belonged to Chin Wei Lim from Malaysia, who won €471,910, leaving Davies and Pardo to test each other’s skills in the heads-up play.

The last part of the game was actually very entertaining as Pardo almost lost it all in one of the first hands, despite starting the heads-up with a 3-to-1 lead in chips. However, Pardo did not want to give up and eventually reclaimed it all back, winning his second trophy in the tournament.

The thing with high-roller events in EPT Barcelona is they are not over yet. In fact, Pardo might have already started playing the game, looking to snatch a third trophy. If he does that, he will definitely make some world records. What do you think — can he make it?
