The MPN Poker Tour headed to Bratislava for the very first time last week, offering poker players four days of gaming action. On the schedule were Turbo Jackpot SNGs, deep-stacked tournaments as well as side events. The tour stop took place at the same time as the Cash Game Festival, with players having access to plenty of gaming options.
One of the highlights of the MPN Poker Tour Bratislava schedule was the Main Event. With a buy-in of €550, the tournament saw 329 players competing. By Day 3 only 13 players remained. It would not be long before five players were eliminated, eight would remain to take a seat at the final table.
Alex Hendrix would dominate the final table and would end up in three-handed play with Jussi Mattila and Daniel Camus. The three players would decide to cut a deal and after a little discussion, game play would resume. Camus would face off against Hendriks, being eliminated in 3rd place. This would leave Hendriks and Mattila to face off in heads-up play.
The heads-up round would last only one hand with Hendrix flopping two pair and Mattila unable to gain any ground with a pair and potential flush draw. Hendrix’ two pair would hold up and give him the win, sending Mattila home in second place.
The MPN Poker Tour will travel to Bulgaria next, this July, to offer even more great poker gaming. Traveling to Sunny Beach, the tour will feature poker tournaments from July 5th to the 8th. The Main Event will have a €150,000 guaranteed prize pool and satellites are currently running for players to vie for a seat to the big tournament.
