Lock Poker: Gone From 2+2, Opens New Forum

Lock Poker SucksThe Lock Poker saga has taken another turn for the worse as the much maligned flagship room of the Revolution Gaming Network has now shut down their 2+2 sponsored forum.

Lock has been marred by player complaints and slow withdrawal times for not only US players but international customers, as well. Check withdrawals and Western Union transfers are taking up to six months to reach players. International e-wallets, such as Neteller and Skrill are taking up to a month to process.

New Lock Poker Forum

Cashout delays and damaging press are nothing new for Lock Poker, but at least the 2+2 Lock Poker Sponsored Forum was a place where players could voice their frustrations with management and occasionally get some helpful support. However, that is no longer the case.

Gambling 911 wrote a spin piece detailing the new forum as a chance to “address players directly” and “eliminate so called trolling.” Yes, all those “trolls” are players who are wondering where their checks are that they requested six months ago, how shameful of them. We’re not shocked by Gambling 911’s praise of Lock’s move as they are one of the few sites that continue to promote (they’re greedy) the room to players, despite their long documented payout troubles.

The forum is hosted at LockPoker.eu and is moderated by none other than Shane Bridges. As Lock Poker’s social media director, he drew the ire of many 2+2 posters under his 2+2 alias “imjustshane” and will again monitor the forum with the help from others at Lock support.

Not Your Typical Forum

Lock isn’t your typical poker site, (they’re broke) so they have  rules, actually, let’s call them restrictions on who can post at the all new Lock Poker forum. Firstly, players need a GGR or minimum rake requirements on Lock Poker to able to post on the forum. Even if you make it through that barrier, all potential threads will be moderated and reviewed by Lock support before they are posted to the forum.

We’re guessing Lock management will be censoring content that is detrimental to their brand and will continue to mislead players into thinking that everything is fine. The rules they are attaching to their forum are unprecedented in the online poker industry and will no doubt be used to stifle any criticism of Lock Poker.

The writing is on the wall has been there for months that Lock is in trouble and withdrawal speeds have not improved. This authoritative move by Lock management does not exactly inspire confidence in the eyes of the industry or its players.
