It was recently announced by The Canadian Poker Tour that poker pro Lacey Jones is the ‘new face’ of the poker tour. Lacey will be the face of the tour as it travels across Canada and hopefully she will draw in more women players to the tour, which has been in a decline over the past two years.
Lacey was recently voted the hottest girl of poker and she will soon be featured on the cover of a soon to be released issue of Canadian Poker Player Magazine. She will also have a pictorial spread and featured article in the magazine.
Lacey and CPT President Kelly Kellner came together in Costa Rica last November at the CPT/WPS Costa Rica Challenge and it was there that the deal was made. Kellner commented that Lacey is a girl who lives hockey, Canadian Beer and is an amazing poker player. Kellner told Lacey she had been claimed by Canada and the CPT. Kellner believes that the partnership with Lacey is strong and will only get stronger as Lacey will be attending the CPT events and she plans on moving to Vancouver
The CPT is looking to get more female players to their events as females have been in decline at the tournaments over the past two years. They believe Lacey will be a draw for women to compete in the events as well as help grow their player base.
Lacey commented that she truly loves Canadians and that she is happy to be part of the Canadian Poker Tour. Lacey will be participating in the Winter Freezeout which will take place at Cash Casino in Calgary on February 24th to the 28th and she will also be featured on the new online poker television network Canadian Poker Player Television which is being launched by the CPT.
