Caesars Palace Las Vegas Presents ‘Mega Stack Series’ Poker Tournament

Where else but Las Vegas – the premier destination for all things ‘gambling’ – would you find not only the world’s most prestigious poker event, the World Series of Poker, but also a brand new event guaranteed to pique the interest of deep-stack poker fans, all in one summer? Caesars Palace will be hosting just such an event next month, termed the ‘Mega Stack Series’.

The Mega Stack Series will consist of 43 tournaments spanning 39 days, June 1st through July 9th, 2008. Each day, a new tournament will begin at 12:00 noon, with special tournaments starting at 3:00 pm on certain days. On July 7th, the big three-day finale will begin – the Mega Stack Championship.

Buy-ins for various Mega Stack Series tournaments start as low as $200 + $25, scaling up to $1,000 + $60 for a seat in the Mega Stack Championship. Blind levels will increase every 50 minutes throughout the series, with hourly increases during the Mega Stack Championship. All but two tournaments will grant starting chips of at least 5,000; more for higher buy-in events.

Caesars Palace has introduced “Staff Bonus” Add-ons at all of its Mega Stack Series tournaments (except the Mega Stack Championship), granting players the option of purchasing an additional 2,500 chips for $10 at the start of the event.
