Bryn Kenney’s Cheating Allegations Force Sergi Reixach and Lauren Roberts to React

Bryn Kenney's Cheating Allegations Force Sergi Reixach and Lauren Roberts to React

Martin Zamani recently attended a Doug Polk Podcast interview during which he claimed that Bryn Kenney is running a cult-like poker cheating ring. But Lauren Roberts triggered a tweetstorm last weekend regarding some of the poker pro’s accusations.

Roberts is fondly known as “he22” and is a high-stakes bettor who plays poker on GGPoker. Zamani said that Kenney normally orders the players he is backing to beat him in different online poker games. He further claims that as “he22” sat in a tournament, Kenney told his horses to enter the game and collaborate to take her cash.

Zamani stated that the gang-up mentality was also done to a lady who was Kenney’s friend. The all-time money list leader is one of several high-rollers who are linked to different cheating scandals.

Ali Imsirovic won the 2019 GPI Player of the Year award and was reported to have colluded and used real-time assistance (RTA) tolls by Chance Kornuth, Alex Foxen, and other players.

The Unexpected Urgent Podcast Episode

Polk contacted Zamani shortly after and accused Kenney of cheating on Twitter last Thursday. They later appeared in Polk show’s surprise podcast episode to talk about the accusations. The 80-minute interview had strange and wild moments as Zamani shifted from bum-hunting, RTAing, colluding and alleged ghosting stories.

Some of his stories had subtle details about Kambo and Taco Bel rituals. Many listeners felt like Zamani wasn’t a reliable narrator. Yet, he laid serious allegations against Kenney that needed urgent answers.

Zamani outed Sergi Reixach, Kenney’s associate who is a poker coach and a high-stakes regular, during the interview. Reixach issued a statement through Poker.org in response to Zamani’s accusations. He denied ghosting, RTAing, or knowing that Kenney was ghosting various players.

Reixach admitted that GGPoker banned him in 2020 and stated that it was because of using “preflop charts” rather than a dream machine.

Roberts Brings Receipts

Most of Zamani’s accusations on Kenney and Imsirovic were mere allegations until last Saturday. He made a few bold claims in an exclusive interview but didn’t show any proof. Still, Roberts shared some tweets that endorsed Zamani’s claims and a few text screenshots.

Even so, some tweets were confusing as they lacked the conversation’s date. Even so, one tweet showed that the poker players had a friendly relationship. Robert’s GGPoker account lost despite him winning $218,400 in a 2019 U.S. Poker Open event in Las Vegas, and Kenney celebrated with him.

This friendship appears to have ended as both of them displayed their animosity on Twitter on Saturday. Roberts claimed that he hadn’t imagined that Zamani would do that, and he believed that he decided to teach people a lesson using his account despite being kind to him.

Zamani admitted that he was in an online poker cheating ring as Roberts didn’t know that Kenney marshaled his horses to gang up on him.

Is the Relationship Abusive?

Zamani accused Kenney of exploiting Roberts despite seeking reimbursement from him for losses that he made in those games. He uploaded a few screenshots on Twitter which showed Roberts demanding money linked to poker losses.

Kenney is poor at accounting, according to Roberts. But, Zamani claimed that Kenney controlled his horses’ GGPoker balances. He often staked them, controlled when they would get paid and their income.
