A poker player from Spain named Sergi Reixach managed to win a 2019 Poker Masters event called Event No. 8: $25,000 No-Limit Hold ’em after topping the 41-strong field. The Spaniard had a very exciting victory and managed to win a total of $369,000, which turned out to be his second-largest live cash prize ever.
There are only two events left in the 2019 Poker Masters tournament, and many professional poker players around the globe are looking for a way to improve their overall score. Event No. 8 was one of the ways to do that, and the only way they could enroll in this competition was to pay a significant buy-in price, which was set to $25,000.
Therefore, the field consisted of some of the best players nowadays, including the likes of Dan Smith, Kahle Burns, Byron Kaverman, Erik Seidel, Alex Foxen, Nick Petrangelo, Ben Heath, Cary Katz, Anthony Zinno, and the previous leader on the leaderboard, Chance Kornuth. All of the players listed here did not manage to make it to the final six, though, which created the final table for this event.

The next player to leave the race for the first prize was the popular Hungarian poker professional, Andras Nemeth, who managed to win $82,000. Sam Soverel, who is the current leader of the 2019 Poker Masters leaderboard, ended up fourth for $102,500, and Turkey’s Orpen Kisacikoglu left soon after with $165,000 in his pocket.
The two players who remained in the heads-up play were George Wolff and Reixach. Up to this point, Reixach was playing pretty well, and other players were able to feel his “wrath” as he managed to amass a lot of chips before the heads-up. Therefore, Wolff had to settle for second place and a total price of $246,000.
When it comes to the leaderboard of the 2019 Poker Masters, Soverel is currently No. 1 with 690 points. He is followed by Kornuth, who managed to earn a total of 630 points. The third-place player at the moment is Wolff with 420, and fourth place is Winter with 330 points.
Another player who is currently on the leaderboard and shares the same number of points as Winter is Burns. Moreover, Kristen Bicknell, Reixach, Isaac Barton, Ryan Laplante and Julien Martini all have 300 points each, but the amount of money they earned is different and affects their overall position on the leaderboard.
