The 2023 World Series of Poker (WSOP) had the largest Main Event in the series’ history. The $10,000 Buy-In No-Limit Hold’em Main Event occurred at Paris and Horseshoe Las Vegas, featuring 10,043 entrants.
Daniel Weinman stunned WSOP diehards when he beat his opponents to win his second bracelet and $12,100,000. He tried to adjust his playing style when making each move and was lucky not to get busted in four hands.
Reports state that Weinmann has over $15,800,000 in lifetime poker earnings. He has won two World Poker Tour (WPT) Main Event titles in the past. Still, Weinman bagged his first bracelet and $255,359 in a $1,000 Pot-Limit Omaha tournament.
Besides winning the money and bracelet, Weinman amassed 3,600 Card Player Player of the Year (POY) points that improved his position in this year’s POY race to 19th place. Still, his victory earned him 2,300 PokerGO Tour (PGT) points that helped him get the leaderboard’s lead. Moreover, it was his first final table finish in 2023 after almost missing the WSOP Main Event.

Final Day Highlights
Weinman was second in the leaderboard early in the final day, and Adam Walton was the last player with 83 big blinds. Jones used QDiamond Suit6Diamond Suit to make a 6,000,000 raise on the button with 1,250,000-2,500,000 blinds and a 2,500,000 big blind ante. His move prompted Jones to fold. Walton later made a 209,500,000 four-bet shove, and Weinman used pocket aces to snap-call, hence getting the stack lead. Weinman had a 443,000,000:159,500,000 chip advantage over Jones when their heads-up match began. But, the former ended the game after 24 hands. Jones finished as the runner-up with $6,500,000 after the AHeart Suit on the river failed to help him.
