Steve Wynn Wants $12 Million from Girls Gone Wild Founder

In an almost amusing case of ‘he said/she said’ Steve Wynn CEO of Wynn Resorts Ltd, is suing Girls Gone Wild founder Joe Francis for claiming the Casino tycoon threatened to kill him over his casino gambling debts, or at least that’s what he says Quincy Jones says.

According to news reports, on Friday Wynn’s lawyer told the jury that Joe Francis should be required to pay Wynn more than $12 million dollars for claiming that Wynn threatened to kill him and bury him in the desert. with a shovel, over the head.

That’s right, it seems that Francis is claiming that in old-style mobster fashion, Wynn threatened to beat him over the head with a shovel, and have him buried in the desert due to his $2 million dollar gambling debt.

Wynn didn’t say these things to Francis directly however, apparently, according to Francis, the Girls Gone Wild guy,  he heard about the threats from Quincy Jones (yes, the record producer) who had a bunch of emails from Wynn, that he shared with Francis the emails, Francis claimed, contained the threats. Unfortunately, the emails are … missing. They aren’t being used as evidence and cannot be found.

Thus far, Wynn says the rumors of death threat by shovel and desert burial is untrue. He told the jury in the case that the rumors have damaged his reputation and said that they could lead to what could turn out to be an expensive Gaming Commission investigation.

Barry Langberg, Wynn’s lawyer claimed that Francis is not tell the truth about the threats, he also pointed out the fact that there is no evidence due to the missing emails.

Aaron Aftergood, Francis’ lawyer’s take on the situation is that it’s possible that both Wynn and Francis are telling the truth, and that perhaps it was Quincy Jones, Francis’ next door neighbor that misled everyone. Hopefully that’s an opinion, or we might be looking at another lawsuit very soon.

Furthermore, Aftergood told the court that Wynn has not proven that he’s suffered any real damages.

The jury will decide Monday if Francis should have to pay up, and just how much, if anything, his accusations will cost him.
