Wynn Summer Classic Coming in May

The Wynn Resorts Las Vegas Casino is going to be extremely over the next few months, and it’s going to be a popular destination for the top live poker players in the world. The Wynn Summer Classic schedule has now been announced, and there will be nearly 100 events taking place over a span of two months.

Live poker players still have some time to work on their craft as the action in this event won’t kickoff until May 22nd, and the tournament will conclude on July 17th. It’s extremely rare for tournaments or series to last this long, but there will be enough tournaments to keep players engaged.

Wynn has once again partnered with the World Poker Tour to come up with some great events in this series, but other tournaments will attract some great action as well. With over $37 million in prize money available, this is going to be an event that attracts many kinds of poker players.

The $10 million Wynn Summer Championship will be the biggest single event in this series, but the WPT Alpha8 Series is expected to bring the most players. It’s hard to predict how many players will sign up for each tournament, but one champion will likely win at least $1.5 million.

Some Great Events Scheduled

With nearly 100 events set to take place throughout the course of this event, there will be something for everyone to check out. The $10 Million Wynn Summer Championship will draw the best players in the sport, but there are chances to cash in before that as well.

The first event of this series will actually be just for seniors and that shows just how Wynn is looking to represent players of all ages in this event. There won’t be a Texas Holdem event until the second day, and that is the method in which most of these tournaments will be played.

Even though a majority of events will be of the hold’em variety, other methods of poker will be played as well. Wynn has kept a close eye on other popular forms of poker and has added those tournaments to the mix in this series.

Since all of this action is going to take place at the Wynn in Las Vegas, many players are going to spend a few weeks in Sin City to compete in a number of events.

WPT Alpha8 Delivers

Last year was the first time that Wynn partnered with the World Poker Tour, and those two companies teamed up to create a terrific event. The WPT Alpha8 Series will feature three different events that span two days each.

The trifecta series will require a $25,000 buy-in and that will limit this big event to the top poker players in the sport. One of these events a year ago paid out nearly $1.6 million and that should be the case again this year.

If there is more success with this event in 2024 then this partnership is expected to continue moving forward.
