BetAmerica Makes Announcement, Declaring $250K Online Slot Winner

The cash prize of $250,000 is the largest for that of a single-spin since the online sports betting company owned by Churchill Downs Inc. first launched its casino in the Keystone State back in February. They stated via press release that the woman who won was playing Da Vinci Diamonds Masterworks, a game developed by IGT.

The game incorporates artwork from the famous Renaissance painter. The player, name not revealed, is from Pennsylvania, where she was playing. Richard Sagman, BetAmerica’s VP of online gaming, was extremely excited for the woman and her big win. He stated just how thrilled he was with her victory.

He adds that “This was quite the masterstroke, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to see yet another of our players win big while playing BetAmerica’s large selection of entertaining online slots.” In April, another player took home $245,000 playing in New Jersey.

BetAmerica’s online casino is currently able to play in just New Jersey and Pennsylvania. They also offer table games, including but not limited to roulette and blackjack.

Origins of the Online Casino

Right before the pandemic hit is when things initially launched. They first opened their doors in February, with things looking to be promising right off the bat. Governor Tom Wolf had to close things down not too long after, as expected. They couldn’t take any chances.

As soon as this happened, the online profiting took off. The online slot numbers went from $2.9 million in March, to a whopping $9.1 million in May. More people being stuck at home meant more money being wagered from more people with far more time than they were used to having.

In all, from February from June, the online slots generated a total of $24.7 million, with gross revenues of more than $818,000. And they got a whole lot from table games, as well.

Table games spawned $35.3 million in the same timeframe, with $14.4 million of that total wagered in May. Gross revenue from table games finished out at a cool $533,000.

And in all, looking at the 2019-20 fiscal year, the aggregate revenue from slot play was $153.6 million. Table games added $62.6 million. And these are available for play only by desktop in Pennsylvania.

BetAmerica recently announced a deal with the Hannahville Tribe in Michigan, to run online sports betting and casino gaming. It’s just the beginning.

NBA Themed Game Also Available Now

Last week, BetAmerica announced an NBA-themed game developed by Highlight Games is available for casino players. NBA Last 60 is a virtual sports game, which uses footage from league archives and is chosen at random.

Players can bet the outcome, deciding which team will score first, the number of total points scored, and the winner, doing all of this before the game begins. It is available for play in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and Sagman is extremely excited about the prospect of it.

He adds, “This world-first game offers our players an edge-of-the-seat sports betting and casino experience from the comfort of their home.” A very unique opportunity for basketball fans to do more than just watch games.
