Winning at Texas Holdem not only makes a bankroll grow but makes you feel good you can win against so many talented players. Now, though Absolute Poker has made losing just as profitable. AP announced this week that $1,297,394.94 has been paid out as jackpot money since their online poker room launched the Bad Beat Promotion in late June.
Senior Vice President David Clainer has this comment, "In less than seven weeks, our players have won an unfathomable amount of cash at our Bad Beat Jackpot tables. The numbers we released today amount to an average of $185,000 being paid out every week for losing hands."
The Bad Beat Jackpot pays if a player loses a hand holding at least quad eights. Not only does the jackpot pay the winner and loser of the hand but a portion goes to everyone sitting at the table.
The almost $1.3 million total figure includes money won by all players involved on every jackpot. The regular pot that players won during a jackpot has not been included.
Absolute Poker is the online poker site that offers a Bad Beat Jackpot and accepts U.S. players. With over 20,000 players at peak times, great promotions constantly running and a chance to win even if you lose, why play anywhere else.
