Gus Hansen Goes Mobile with Million Dollar Poker

Gameloft announced today that they have signed an exclusive deal with poker professional Gus Hansen to develop and publish Million Dollar Poker. Gameloft® is one of the top publishers and developers of video games for mobile phones. The game is designed to be the most highly developed game to date and will feature the four time WPT champion’s skill and strategy. It should be available to all major carriers Oct. 29th, 2007.
Gonzague de Vallois, vice president of publishing, Gameloft said. “Poker games are a staple in the arena of mobile games and our challenge was to develop the next evolution of them. With Million Dollar Poker, we have succeeded through integrating Gus Hansen’s strategic genius and input to create one of the most challenging poker games that takes on the player on a mental level.”
This is much more than a poker game on a phone. Million Dollar Poker will have an innovative AI engine that will evolve with the player. This AI has a psychological dimension that will allow it to study moves and make strategies to combat the player’s moves. Another great feature will create millions of opponent profiles and will make sure you never play the same opponent twice.
“It was truly an exciting and eye-opening process for me working with Gameloft to develop this poker title. The amount of thought and detail put into creating this game was impressive. I was able to contribute knowledge of my poker skills, but Gameloft taught me a few things about developing a great poker game,” commented Gus Hansen.
