NFL Betting Preview: Seattle Seahawks at Dallas Cowboys

THE PLAYOFFS. Both of these teams are making their second appearance in three seasons after falling short in 2017. Pete Carroll is able to extend his Seattle legacy, while Jason Garrett earns another chance to add to his.

Both of these clubs fought off slow starts to get here, and an immediate loss would surely sting. This is going to be a battle between two teams with dominant run-games, and underrated defenses.

Seahawks:

If you haven’t checked out @CableThanos_ on Twitter, his videos will turn you into a Seahawks supporter. This team has proved a whole lot of naysayers wrong en route to their 10-6 finish and played very well down the stretch. They ran the ball a whole lot this year, as Chris Carson had an unexpected breakout season. They are the only team besides Baltimore with more rushing attempts than passing attempts this year. They have relied on three guys to carry the load all year, while Russell Wilson is still good for a big run or two each week.

Bobby Wagner is being discussed as one of the top defensive players in all of the NFL, as he had another magnificent season. Frank Clark and Jarran Reed were both sack machines all year long, combining for 23.5. They were both sensational and helped the team to overcome the early-season loss of Earl Thomas. They are ready for the fight.

Cowboys:

After a very poor start to the season and a losing record through nine games, they added Amari Cooper and it all turned around. Like Baltimore, they ended the year winning six of their final seven games to book their spot in the postseason. Not having to worry about Zeke and when he was going to play sure played a big role in them having success. He had 1,434 yards and six touchdowns while catching 77 passes and 567 yards, and three scores. They will need a lot of guys to step up and make plays, as this is their first trip to the playoffs without Witten and Dez.

Their defense also deserves a lot of credit for their hot play. Rookie Leighton Vander Esch, with 140 tackles, 7 passes defended, two picks, and two tackles for loss was not voted as a Pro Bowler. SHOCKED. The rookie was amazing. So was Jaylon Smith, who had a great comeback to the league. Byron Jones and DeMarcus Lawrence were both beasts all season, too. This defense is scary.

SEATTLE IS MOVING ON!

Yeah, sorry D-Town fans. We are picking Seattle to win! Russell Wilson is a very good playoff quarterback, as his track record would back-up. Dak Prescott, on the other hand, is trying to earn that rep for himself.

The big plays that the defense will be able to make, and being able to keep Amari Cooper in check will lead them to another playoff game!
