NBA Action: Golden State Warriors vs. Minnesota Timberwolves

In the National Basketball Association – a pair of Western Conference teams square off on Thursday – as the Golden State Warriors take on the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Golden State Warriors will look to improve upon their 17-6 home record. Golden State is also looking for their second straight win, and improve upon winning 8 out of their last 10 games. The Warriors are 38-10 and the top seed in all of the league.

Minnesota is coming off a loss on the road in Portland, and are looking to get back on track. With their 31-19 record, they are the fourth seed in the Western Conference and lead the Northwest Division by 2.5 games over Oklahoma City. The Timberwolves have already tied their win total from a season ago, with 31 games left to play. The Golden State Warriors are -11 over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Thursday.

The Minnesota Timberwolves had beaten the Raptors and clippers back to back before heading to Portland. It looked like they were getting back on track following losses in Orlando and Houston, but allowing 123 points was not a way to win. Steph Curry and Kevin Durant are combining for  more than 53 points per game, while Draymond Green and Klay Thompson are combining for an additional 31.7 per game.

Warriors Win at Home

The Golden State Warriors are a team that is awfully tough to beat. The Warriors are at home in this game, and while they have a record that is not as good at home, as they are on the road, they are tough at home. Golden State is relentless on the offensive side. The one thing about Golden State though – they do let teams stick around, and Minnesota is talented enough to stick around. The Timberwolves are not going to win this game, but they should be able to keep the game close, and under double digits.
