Poker Stars Million Dollar Challenge made it’s debut yesterday on Fox after the NFL. This new one hour show is the first in a five episode series that features Team Poker Stars member Daniel Negreanu. You can watch Negreanu first help the show’s contestants as he shares advice and coaches them on their game but later on he puts down the chalk and grabs his chips to compete in the Million Dollar Challenge.
The contestants are all playing for the grand prize of $1 million dollars and if you want your chance at the prize you will have to first win qualifying freerolls on Poker Stars. You will also need to submit a one minute video to Poker Stars so the world can see that you won your place in the Million Dollar Challenge by playing online poker at Poker Stars.
These short videos started airing on Sunday for an hour. Qualifiers that are invited to play on the show will be flown round trip to Los Angeles where the show is being filmed. There they will have to make it through four rounds of poker. The first is a heads up No Limit Hold’em match against a celebrity opponent.
Round two will find the contestants again heads up but this time up against a member of Team Poker Stars. Negreanu will be seated next to the contestants during the first two rounds of poker but after that they are on their own. If you want to watch the Million Dollar Challenge it airs on Sundays on Fox. Check your local listings for the time because it will air before or after the NFL.
