Player Identities to be verified by Full Tilt Poker

It has been over a year since Full Tilt Poker was shut down and players were left in the dark. Now the site, which is owned by PokerStars, is getting ready to relaunch. The site is now starting to verify player accounts as they get ready to begin anew.

According to a recent article by CardPlayer, an email was sent out to some of the players who were registered at the site that live outside of the US. The email requested documents so players can resume their accounts when the site goes live in November.

Full Tilt has stated that they need to verify the identity of players ‘in the interest of account security and in accordance with the anticipated Isle of Man regulatory requirements.’ players who provide valid documentation will be able to ensure that their account is fully verified and active when the relaunch takes place. Players will then have unrestricted access to their Full Tilt Poker account once the relaunch and system testing process is complete.

The email stated that non US players will have to send the company a copy of a valid photo ID, which includes driver’s license, passport or other issued government document. They must also show proof of their address on file at FTP. Players can send in documents such as bank or credit card statements, utility bills or phone bills to prove their address.

Players will need to make sure that attachments are scanned copies or high quality digital photographs for the information to be accepted. Once the information has been received and verified and Full Tilt Poker is up and running, players will have full access to their accounts including the poker games and cashier functionality, according to the FTP email.
