The Los Angeles Dodgers will host the San Francisco Giants in the second of a three-game series on Saturday.
The Dodgers lost 7-5 in extra innings on Friday and have fallen to 39-31 on the season. Los Angeles is three games behind the Arizona Diamondbacks in the National League West. For the Giants, the win improved them to 37-32 on the season. The Giants are just 4.5 games back in the division.

Brandon Crawford, one of the staples in the Giants’ lineup for many seasons, has seen his power go down a bit but still is hitting .284 for the Giants.

Dodgers Looking for 4th in 5 Games
The Dodgers won two out of three over the White Sox before falling on Friday. Los Angeles is looking to get hot to make a run at Arizona as the end of June starts to arrive. The Dodgers will have to play without one of their top offensive threats, as Max Muncy was placed on the IL with a hamstring injury. Muncy is the leading homerun hitter for the Dodgers, with 18.
Los Angeles will turn to rookie Bobby Miller in this one. The 6’5 right-hander from Elk Grove Village, Illinois, is 3-0 on the season, with a 0.78 earned run average. Miller has struck out 23 batters in 23 innings this season, including seven in his last start. That was against the Phillies, where he struck out seven over six innings.
Dodgers Win Game 2 and Even the Series
The Dodgers are none too happy about the way the game on Friday went. They are going to be looking to even the series against their divisional rival. Miller has been a tough cookie to beat on the mound, and the Giants are known to shut down offensively at times.
