Vaughan Donut Shop Home to Gambling Parlor?

DonutPolice in Toronto have arrested a 40 year old man accused of running a betting operation at a Vaughan donut shop. After a 4 month long investigation by the York Regional Police Drugs and Vice Enforcement Bureau was held from May and August, a warrant was executed the donut shop searched, illegal gambling equipment seized, and a man arrested.

The investigation found the doughnut shop, Baker's Dozen which is located east of Highway 400 on Steeles Ave. W. to be the alleged home of two gambling devices that were continuously in operation. Customer's visited the doughnut shop for a dozen donuts, perhaps some coffee, and hopefully a bit of luck. Gambling Winnings were paid out by Li Yang, the owner of the donut shop.

Yang is set to appear in a Newmarket courtroom October 3rd.
