Linux and Macintosh users are not yet able to play online poker at VC Poker. These players will have to wait for either VC Poker to integrate a No-Download Java Client, or for Playtech to develop a Mac/Linux compatible poker software platform.

Clearing VC Poker Bonuses
When taking advantage of VC Poker’s generous welcome bonuses, players have 60 days to complete clearing of the bonus. VC Poker is known for having one of the fastest bonus clearing programs available. The deposit bonus requires the accumulation on 60 Action Points (AP) for every $1 of the bonus, which is released in $5 increments. Players would need to earn 300 AP to release $5, repeated until the entire bonus is released, or as many times as possible before the 60 days are up. After 60 days, the player keeps whatever amount of the bonus they have managed to release.

AP are earned for raked hands and tournament fees paid. For every $0.10 taken in rake (up to $3), the AP awarded becomes higher. A $0.10 rake awards .25 AP, where a $3 rake awards 16 AP. A rake higher than $3 (capped at $5) awards 20 AP. Tournament fees are the fastest way to collect AP, awarding 40 AP for every $1 paid in tournament fees. Note that the buy-in does not affect AP, only the fee.

VC Poker Tournaments
VC Poker offers an enormous, well-structured tournament schedule packed with guaranteed tournaments, freerolls, re-buys and satellites to larger poker events. Sit’n'Go’s are a constant, with buy-ins ranging from $0.10 to $25. Satellite tournaments offer a great opportunity to work your way into larger tournaments for a mere fraction of the cost, including the EPT, Irish Poker Open and National Poker Championship.

Every Monday, VC Poker runs a High-Roller Tournament worth a guaranteed prize pool of $50,000. Direct buy-in is $500+$35, but 10 lucky players will win free entry to each week’s tournament. The top 10 table finishers at each $45,000 GP Rebuy ($50+$5), which runs Monday through Thursday, will receive entry to the ‘40 Runner Freeroll Satellite’, where those top 10 finishers win a seat at the Monday High-Roller Tournament.

Every Friday, poker players at VC Poker can join in the $50,000 Guaranteed Rebuy tournament at 19:00 GMT for a direct buy-in of $50+$5. Daily Satellite tournaments awarding entry to the event run daily, starting as low as $2.75. On the first Friday of each month, the prize pool is doubled to a whopping $100,000.

On Saturdays, VC Poker hosts a $20,000 Guaranteed Freeze-Out competition at 18:30 GMT. The direct buy-in will cost you $100+$9, but daily satellites start at $11+$9.

Every Sunday VC Poker hosts its biggest, regularly scheduled, guaranteed prize pool tournament in the form of a $100,000 Freeze-Out competition. Buy-in directly to the event for $200+$20, or participate in daily satellites that start as low as $4.40.

Each month, VC Poker presents a $10,000 Action Points Freeroll. This valuable event is held near the end of the month, usually occurring on a Tuesday or Thursday. Direct buy-in is not easy to obtain, costing 10,000 Action Points, but for only 10 Action Points, players can enter daily Sit’n'Go qualifiers to the $10k freeroll tournament.

The Irish Open 2008 Main Event is scheduled to kick off March 19th through the 24th, and VC Poker is set to award their players with a $8,500 prize package and seats to the big tournament. There are plenty of satellites and super satellites to the Irish Open 2008 available at VC Poker, starting as low as $2+$0.20, ranging up to $50+$5 and $300+20 in the super satellite stages.
