The Bulls in that game who scored 10 or more were Jabari Parker, Zach LaVine, Wendell Carter Jr., and Antonio Blakeney. LaVine had 41 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists. Wendell Carter Jr. had a double-double in the game, with 11 points and 13 rebounds.
The Pelicans’ last game was a 122-116 loss against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Paul George led the Thunder with 23 points, 6 rebounds, and 8 assists. Russell Westbrook had an okay game, getting 17 points and 7 rebounds and as many assists. Anthony Davis was a big part of the effort for New Orleans, scoring 20 points, grabbing 8 rebounds, but only had 1 assist. The point spread in this game is the Pelicans -10.

These teams, as stated above, have similar records. The difference comes to light when considering the margins of those losses. The Pelicans had 10+ margin drubbings like a 132-111 loss to the Jazz and a 131-112 loss to the Rockets. This team even dropped a game 149-129 to the Kings.
On the 1st of this month, they dropped a game 132-119 to the Blazers, and followed that up with a 109-95 loss to the Spurs. The Bulls, although they have a worse record, have looked like a better team. Here’s why: In September, the Bulls only had three losses that weren’t in question. One was a 149-124 loss to the Warriors, in which Klay Thompson seemingly could not miss a three. Another was a bad 29 point loss to the Hornets. Another was a 19 point loss against the 76ers. Every other loss that month was by single digits, including a 2 point and a 1 point loss.
They began this month with a heartbreaking 2 point loss against the Pacers on the 2nd. They then lost a game to the Rockets by 8 points. In my opinion, the Pelicans have looked lost in their losses. The Bulls have looked like they are one piece away from being a great team in the Eastern Conference. This comes with the fact that they have young stars in Kris Dunn and Lauri Markkanen coming off of injuries later.
Pelicans Top Bulls in a Close One
The Bulls can absolutely win this game. It will require some stellar defense from the Bulls in the frontcourt against Anthony Davis, and from Zach LaVine in the backcourt against Jrue Holiday. If this doesn’t happen, the Pelicans probably take this one. However, the notion that they are absolutely going to win by 10 and a half points is ridiculous. Bet on the Chicago Bulls at +10.5
