Toronto Raptors at San Antonio Spurs Betting Pick and Prediction

Welcome home, Kawhi! The first game he will ever play against the team he spent the first seven years of his career with! Despite being without Kyle Lowry for multiple weeks now, the W’s keep coming, and they just keep finding ways to win.

San Antonio has played good ball of late and is looking to keep it going. The fact that they are favored, even as the home team, says a lot about how they are rolling. We’ll see how DeMar feels going against his old comrades.

Raptors:

With the #7 scoring offense in the league, they have been a force to be reckoned with! Kawhi just kicked off the new year with a 42-point outburst against Utah, known for their defense. Serge Ibaka, meanwhile has continued to shine in the absence of JV. Pascal Siakam and Fred Van Vleet continue to get what is theirs, and Danny Green keeps knocking down the long ball! What is there that this team does not do well? NOTHING. They are competitive every night, with the exception of last week’s blowout loss to ORL.

There are quite a few marksmen comprising this roster, and they have all been in their bag this year! Kyle Lowry has been red-hot from deep, while Danny Green keeps knocking them down. They make the seventh most in the entire NBA.

Spurs:

Currently four games over .500, they are #7 in the west. DeMar DeRozan has continued to play very well, though it is probably going to be very weird for him to face the team he spent nine years with for the first time. LaMarcus Aldridge is also having a very good season, while Bryn Forbes is making every single three-ball he puts up. They have finally found the perfect starting five grouping for their personnel. Dejounte Murray won’t be showing up this season, but they continue to do what they do, grinding out games.

They aren’t making too many shots from beyond the arc, but are hitting enough to stay competitive in games. Bryn Forbes is the only guy hitting multiple per game, with 2.1 a night, on 42%. Belinelli and Mills are both hitting close to that amount off the bench, and have had big parts. Derrick White continues to improve, and while he is fully healthy now, is contributing in a big way. They will benefit from the return of Lonnie Walker.

Raptors win for Kawhi in his homecoming

Back home, along with Jakob Poetl, the 29th W of the year is coming for TOR! Kawhi is going to go OFF, to send the message that he wanted out for a reason. He has free reigns to run the show, and it will be on full display.

A 35-point night is about to ensue, as DeMar and co. will just not have the answers.
