Well, here we are. Two of the hottest teams in the league are squaring off, with one likely seeing their long losing streak end, as a tie should not be expected. It has been the RB position on each side that has continued to impress. Christian McCaffrey for Carolina, and James Conner for the Steelers.
The QB battle between Cam and Big Ben will also provide a lot of excitement, as well as a whole lot of big plays.

Panthers
Through 8 games, Cam has passed for 1,893 yards and 15 TD’s, throwing just four interceptions. He’s rushed for an additional 342 yards and scored four touchdowns. His ability to put the ball in as an RB is important. McCaffrey has 500 rushing yards, but 378 receiving yards on 49 catches. He has done a tremendous job of serving as a receiver for them. They have also had an impressive pass rush, as they have had 21 sacks recorded, and have allowed Cam to go down just 12 times, keeping up upright very impressively. Mario Addison has 7.5 of the 21.
Graham Gano is yet to miss a field goal this year, and even has a game-winning 63-yarder on his 2018 resume. It was that miraculous kick that got the team past a Giants bunch who has not been able to win anything. They’re looking very impressive, and with Greg Olsen back and comfortable, they are a force.
Steelers
What can we say about this team? They have an elite tight end and two stout wide receivers who they would take over almost any in the league. They have a running back who doesn’t care about his salary, and just the love of the game, who is setting records left and right. Yep, that would be James Conner, ladies and gentleman. Their defense has started to come alive since struggling to slow the Baltimore Ravens a month back. They got their revenge this past week when they defeated them by a touchdown to keep the streak going.
The pass rush for this team is highly underrated, and they have recorded 26 sacks so far, led by seven from TJ Watt, brother of the great JJ. They just do a fantastic job of applying pressure, and not letting the QB get the ball out of their hands. They have allowed Ben to take only 11 sacks all season, as they sure have looked good.
Panthers Keep it Rolling
We’re riding with Carolina to win in a close game tonight. Both of these teams have terrific offenses, but it will be the Panthers and Cam that will get it done. His ability to put the ball on the ground himself gives the team a dynamic that Pittsburgh hasn’t really seen.
So led by Cam & Christian McCaffrey, Carolina climbs to 7-2, as they try to keep pace with the Saints.
